When setting your listing’s cancellation policy, you may choose from one of five options.
- No Refund - No refund offered for any reason or timeframe.
- Strict - Bookings cancelled at least 60 days before the start of the stay will receive a full refund
- Firm - Bookings cancelled at least 60 days before the start of the stay will receive a full refund. Bookings cancelled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund.
- Moderate (recommended) - Bookings cancelled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive a full refund. Bookings cancelled at least 14 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund.
- Relaxed - Bookings cancelled at least 14 days before the start of the stay will receive a full refund. Bookings cancelled at least 7 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund.
The percentage refund applies to the amount the traveller paid at the time of cancellation, not the total amount of the reservation. Because of this, you may want to align your cancellation policy with your payment schedule.
For example: A traveller cancels a reservation totaling $500.00, but has only paid $200.00 towards the cost of the reservation. if your cancellation policy allows for a 50 % refund at this time, the traveller would receive $100.00 back.
Timing of Cancellations
Cancellations must be made by 11:59 pm in the property’s timezone on the chosen day.
Impact on our booking fee
You can override the cancellation policy and refund a custom amount. If you have a pay-per-booking listing and you keep a portion of the payment after cancellation, you will be charged a booking fee on the amount you kept.
Important considerations
The cancellation policy you choose supersedes your rental agreement. If necessary, you can choose a cancellation policy that is more restrictive than the one in your rental agreement.
